Batch Codes & Best Before Dates

   We treat batch numbers and expiry / best before dates very seriously at Record Vapes. We want to make sure your e-juice is as close to peak flavor as possible.  We go above and beyond government requirements and take extra steps to ensure your e juice is received as close to top flavor as possible.

  First off, all ingredients are logged in and given an expiry date.  Every batch we make, we record the ingredients used along with their quantities and logged batch code.  Our internal system will tell us when a particular ingredient is past 11 months old.  At 12 months expiring ingredients are replaced.  These ingredients (with the exception of nicotine) by themselves have a shelf life of up to 3 years but we prefer 1 year.  When we buy ingredients, we typical purchase a 6 month supply to avoid too much waste.

   We make each flavor batches of 500ml to 4 litres depending on its average sales.  Most (80%) flavors are pre-made and steeped in 0,3,6 and 12mg in containers. Less popular flavors might be a combination of 0 and 6mg and even some we make the flavor concentrate in advance, then add the VG,PG and Nic when ordered.   

   Our nicotine is always a 3 month supply and kept refrigerated.  Our theory is simple, once the nicotine is added, that e-juice is good for 1 year. There is much said about how long your e-juice is "good for" once nicotine is added.  Heat, oxygen and light contribute to nicotine oxidization of which a significant amount will begin to spoil your e-juice.  Most experts say you have 3 years under normal conditions but since we can control how much of these 3 elements are in play once our bottle is shipped out, 1 year is safer than 3.

   We always ensure there is at least 6 months before the best before or expiry date.  Our e-juice, on average goes out after 2 months with nicotine.   There are costs associated with keeping such tight controls over the freshness of our ingredients and steeped batches that have exceeded our self imposed quality control.  Is it worth it ?  You trust us to deliver clean, lab made controlled e-juice with flavor and freshness  ... we deliver just that.
